hihi~
I guess you can say this is my first official discussing entry! =D yay~
Anyways, I have been a Big Bang fan since their first debut with the song La La La. Big Bang is the current hit Korean boy group. This group consist of G-Dragon (Kwon Ji Yong), TOP (Choi Seung Hyun), Taeyang (Dong Young Bae), Dae Sung (Kang Dae Sung), and Seungri (Lee Seung Hyun).
Not that I'm not there fan anymore, I have realized my 'fangirly-ness' have died recently. I'm not as hardcore following their news and activities anymore (which was a relief to my studies). This reason for this is that I kind of noticed their style have changed. I loved Big Bang because of their cute and dorky-ness. They preppy gangster style was so unique and fits them so well. Back then, they were the cute adorable group, Big Bang. I watched their first live performance and I was blown away by their energy and the awesome dancing. Now, they don't dance as hardcore (probably because it's too tiring?). Their style in music is also changing in a way. Their style is definately not the preppy adorable style.
G-dragon (my favorite member) had gone from adorable preppy to fashionable model (?). His style is more edgy and 'out-there'. TOP had the whole mask thing one moment and the gloves, going for more gangster. Seungri is also growing up as you can see from his Strong Baby MV. Tae Yang, to me, is still the same old sweet adorable teddy bear. Dae Sung is still the charming caramel asian with the cheeky smile, but you can still tell he has matured.
Now that G-dragon had released his solo album, Heartbreaker, and Seungri already did that solo MV of Strong Baby. Tae Yang had also released two more solo MVs, Wedding Dress and Where U At while TOP is filiming IRIS and Dae Sung continues his Family Outing. It feels as if they're all doing their own things (not that it's a bad thing). It feels that they aren't the same dorky group that first debuted. They are becoming more..model-ly. Having more 'matured' posing. (Well, they are growing up, but it's just sad to see D=)
(so DBSK style ><''')
This might only be my opinion, but I would like to hear your thoughts on this as well. I had been listening to their old songs recently, once again, and I was thinking: 'Wow, it's so cute. haha.' With G-dragon doing his little sound things at the back (saying 'haha' or all those random english words) and all their voices blending together, while making the song sound unique at the same time. Now listen to their new song "Let Me Hear Your Voice". Only Tae yang, Dae sung and Seungri is sining mainly. G-dragon has joined TOP with the rapping only. The song is more slow and not like their first debut song, La La La, with all that energy. Yes, it's a different style, but you don't really see their songs with that much energy, other than Gara Gara Go?? The styles still seem to be changing, clothing and music. It changing as fast as G-dragon's hair change.
I guess I might be being too picky, but I guess I just miss the dorky angels that first debuted with their famous triangle scarves and their preppy looks (nerdy big framed glasses) with a mixture of gangster-ness that made my heart skip a beat.
pockymeji.
